Mobile and Internet Plans

There are a number of plans being offered in the market these days that claim to provide an overall cheaper and best deal if you combine your phone and internet services. However, it is not easy to make a comparative assessment of such bundled packages offered by different companies, because the pricing for such bundled packages is often quite complex. But it makes sense to opt for a combined package if you are using mobile phone and internet services from the same company. If you are not planning to change your provider for the period of your contract, it is better to club the two packages in one as the company offers some discount in such cases.

It is better to check your monthly mobile and broadband internet usage and then speak to the company about a suitable package. A plan that is suitable to a light user may not be appropriate for a heavy user. Many a times, companies include some discounts in the bundled packages, such as free sms or cheaper same network calls. But nothing comes for free and there might be a cost for these discounts included in the package price. Therefore, you need to carefully assess whether you need any of these discounts. There could be another plan that does not have these discounts and which may be cheaper.

Bundled plans sometimes bind you in a contract extending up to 24 months or even more, and most of the times the company does not automatically extend its attractive offers for their existing customers. You may have to renegotiate with your provider to get the advantage of rates the company is offering for its new customers.
